1.Hot springs
Dogo Onsen is one of the oldest hot springs in Japan.
2.Castles
Eight castles are preserved in Shikoku. Matsuyama Castle is notable for its original keep, which dates back 400 years.
3.Shimanami kaido Cycling Route
One of the most popular cycling routes in the world, it stretches over 70 kilometers from Imabari to Honshu Island, hopping over islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
4.Shikoku Karst
Its distinctive limestone formations and scenic landscapes has historically been seen as places where spiritual beings and supernatural forces may dwell.
5.Ishizuchi mountain (1982meters)
The highest mountain in western Japan. There is a local folk tale that there once lived a Tengu, a mythical creature.
6.Seafoods
Tai-meshi, made with sea bream slices from the Seto Inland Sea, and Katsuo-tataki, grilled and sliced bonito from the Pacific Ocean, are famous local gourmet dishes.
7.Ohenro pilgrimage (shikoku88 temples pilgrimage)
The 0henro pilgrimage is one of the oldest spiritual routes in Japan. Shikoku 88 temples pilgrimage has a 1,200-year-old history.
